| In Alabama we take two things seriously, football and our cattle. And not necessarily in that order. If you are into your cows as much as we are then you are at the right site to view and shop some of the best Texas Longhorn cattle in the industry. At Prairie Bluff Cattle Company we are addicted to the Texas Longhorn. We started out intending to have three pasture ornaments, as we began to appreciate our cows the herd quickly grew to 120 as of January 2006. All our cows are pets, they get attention everyday. We treat them with cubes and halter break the little ones that have show potential or potential value as herd sires and dams.
The most commonly question asked of us is "What interested you in the Texas Longhorns and why"? The answer is the complete package. They are the most docile of all cattle breeds. They graze on a large variety of grasses, and they calve easily. On top of this they have an extreme amount of historical value. All of this combined in addition to meeting some of the finest people we know in the cattle industry made Texas Longhorns an easy choice.
